The effective use of the internet can present many advantages to an online business and with right ideas, tips, secrets, tricks, and tested guides you can make a lot of money on the internet. One of the interesting ideas to make money online would be through small niche websites, the best place to get started is at Myspace because Myspace is a great site to generate traffic for this business idea because millions of people from all around the world visit Myspace. With such a huge potential client base to choose from it won’t be long before you are making lots of cash. Many young people are tuning up their Myspace profiles and uploading their videos and then sharing/watching videos and making money at the same time. Myspace is the best place start of your business because there is no age discrimination so age is not a problem.

Myspace is not the only place you can watch/share videos and make money you can also do this through YouTube, or Google Video, these sites allow you to make money with your videos as because there allow you host your videos or pictures freely, this is an opportunity of a life time that you need to seize immediately because its free and easy to do, you can make money in the comfort of your home and you can even make money from your interesting home made videos, still picture videos, and funny videos. There are numerous websites where you can upload your videos and sell them for money all you need is a video camera, equipment and some basic knowledge of how the things are done and you can start earning.

This form of online business has many advantages, for example once you have made the short film/feature you can upload the video onto a video host like YouTube, and Myspace and it will keep generating revenue for years. You can make more money by tagging your video with keywords before you submit them to the video hosting site page or blog.

Google video, Myspace, and YouTube, are video hosting sites that offer you video sharing services, this allows you to upload video clips onto the website, then the video host site will then store your video on the server, it will then show you the various codes that will allow people to view the video. Video hosting sites have become popular because many people don’t have access to a personal web space, and because of the fast increase in the popularity of forums, blogs, and other interactive pages. The purpose of a video host is simple they offer you the chance to save your video at bandwidth costs this often eliminates the costs completely.

Online video advertising
One of the best ways to make money online is by selling goods and services online selling your products and services online is one the best means of making money because this way you can reach out to a global audience and can therefore reach out to more potential costumer and therefore make more money. The problem with ecommerce is that it is dependent on the amount of traffic that you generate, traffic is the number of people who visit your website, the best way to increase the traffic to your website and in turn the number of potential costumers is through advertising. Advertising is an effective way of convincing people to buy or try out your product and it has been proven through the years that a good advertising campaign is enough to convince people to buy anything.

Most online business people advertise their websites by placing advertising banners all over the internet and hope that people will click on the banner which will then link them to their website, this method is effective however it has its own flaws and is not entirely perfect. To day the latest and most popular way for online businesses to advertise their products and services is through videos and video adverts, online businesses can now make use of videos thanks to improvements in technology such as broadband which has made it possible to send high quality video picture via the internet at fast speeds.

Video advertising has many advantages for the online business because it is bound to give you the edge over your competition because video adverts are more attractive and eye catching than simple advertisement banners on the internet with video adverts you can show more information about your products and thus attract more people to your website. The best way to make more money from your video adverts is by posting them all over the internet and this way you are bound to generate more traffic for your website.

Video adverts can incorporate live action, animation, or 3D animation etc this means that you have many options on how to make your advert more appealing, video adverts allow you the chance to reach out to a wider population because they are more dynamic than normal marketing adverts.

Online video advertising is the best thing for an online business to try today because according to marketing experts this form of marketing is not widely used in the online business sector, as research shows that only 2.36% of company funds used on marketing their products and services is used on online video advertising. This means that not many people fully understand the benefits of this form of marketing and if you were to increase your business funds into online advertising you would have the edge over the other companies and thereby make more money.

There are two forms of online video advertising these are in stream advertising (pre/mid/post roll), and then there is overlay advertising. Pre-roll advertising is a very popular advertising method among online businesses, these adverts are the best option for a website with a lot of informative content these adverts attract consumers because consumers are usually attracted by websites with content because nobody wants to buy something they nothing about. On the other hand overlay online video advertising is a less intrusive form of advertising and you can normally see these types of adverts at the bottom of a webpage, this type of advert is good for low content websites.

Despite not being as popular as it ought to be online video advertising has numerous obvious advantages over normal advertising methods, for example it is an innovative way to advertise which stretches the imagination and sets an impression in the mind of a consumer from the moment they see the advert, and as they “first impressions last the longest”, so if you are able to make good first impressions on a potential consumer the chances that they will buy are quite high.

Online video advertising allows you to give a better and more detailed description of your products and services. This is one of the biggest advantages that this form of advertising has over other advertising forms, most people don’t enjoy reading a lot text about a product and if for example the product is complicated even if you were to include a lot information about the product on your website it would be ineffective in convincing a costumer to purchase the good because they cant understand as thing about the product although all the relevant information is available. Online video advertising can offer potential costumers a detailed description of what the product looks like, its features, how to use it and how to buy all at the click of a button this means costumer don’t have to waste time reading long and boring information about a businesses goods and services.

Most people who are against online video advertising don’t like it because of the quality levels of the videos however there are have been many improvements in the technology which make it possible today to make high quality online advertising videos that can present to consumers a businesses products effectively, this is also good for business in that the better the quality of the video the more interest in your product you generate, and it also improves the reputation of your product and company.

Online video advertising is most affective and mostly used by online marketers when they are launching a new product or service on the market, because the product is new people don’t know much about it, so an audio and video advert will be the most effective way to present new information about the product its advantages, features and how to you it. The services industry is the ideal industry for online video advertising because there are very few ways to present to people how good your services are, besides using audio and video, for example a restaurant, hotel, bar can make a video showing how their food is coked, costumer service, and the environment around the establishment. Online video advertising would be the best option for any business in the services sector because it decides better your services better than text because with text you can lie and no one will know how ever with video people get to see for themselves how you go about your business.

Despite its slow acceptance into the online internet advertising world online video advertising is going fast thanks to broadband which has made it possible to send high quality audio and video pictures on the internet in real time, the online video industry is growing and is set grow even bigger this year, for example estimates show that the market is set to grow by up to $647 million dollars. The main form of video advertising was previously TV advertising, however this form of advertising has its own problems for example it is too expensive and is restricted in the range of markets that it reach, online video advertising on the other hand allows you to make more targeted adverts, and target a specific demographic section of the population for example if your product is targeted at teenagers then all you have to do is post the video ad on a teen website were they will be bound to see. Online video advertising also has the advantage that you can make greater savings on your advertising budget than you could with TV advertising, for example if you want to advertise on TV you have to first go to a advertising agency who would then make the advert, and then you would have to pay for your advert to get air time on TV and the effectiveness of this ad depended on whether you were able to get it screen at a prime time when many people were watching TV however this would mean that it would be more expensive.

Online video advertising is much easier and cheaper because you can opt to go to a advertising agency if you want a real quality ad, but you can still do it on your own in a very hands on straight forward approach it does have to be too fancy and you can make it as long as you want and so you don’t have time limits like you have in TV advertising, it is also cheap because you don’t pay to have it posted on the net, plus the advert is going to be there all the time and so people can watch it at any time they want. Another benefit of online video advertising is that you can track traffic on a website and analyze results so this way you can measure which sites are effective and which one are not performing.

So why you don't start make your home videos today.

Player Death and Consequences

Each game has its own set of rules about how player death is handled, what consequences are doled out, and how players must recover from it. In some games death even has a habit of evolving from one set of parameters to another, even increasing in scope how players can come to their own demise. While the death of a character may not always seem like a factor that should drive the mechanics of your game, if it's not setup correctly or in a way that positively effects you game (go figure), then this is a feature of your game that may cause you some serious headache down the line. Death of characters also provide you, the game developer, with unique opportunities when you create an online game. Not only do they give you the potential to keep player stats, items, development, etc, in balance, it gives you the potential to create new levels of detail or experiences in your game that don't follow the typical game progression.

The Basics

There are a few things that a life system offers in a gaming environment. In most cases, and in most games, your characters are not usually truly immortal - that is to say, there is very rarely a game that does not punish their players in a death style manner, if they mess up. Player death and life systems of a game provide you, the developer, with the idea to keep game play and advancing through your game in check; it allows you to sprinkle a few caveats throughout the mechanics of your game, making it necessary to think before you act. Is it a good idea to go guns blazing with your most expensive (and perishable) equipment, if the situation seems like it may very well end in death? If those items die upon death, it may make the player decide to rethink their actions, or at least put a bit more thought into the situation before rushing through various situations you've so carefully setup.

Death, in some games, is also a way to keep a players progression through the system in check. In many games, especially MMORPGs, its been a traditional mentality that death should penalize the player in a reduction of stats. This mentality says that this will then make players work harder to regain those points, thus creating extended game play time. The same philosophy can be seen behind making certain expensive items break upon death. While this was a readily accepted mentality for most RPGs years ago, it seems the tide is beginning to move away from this. EVE Online for instance takes away all items attached to a ship (and the ship itself) when it is blown to bits. In some cases and depending on the situation your character can also suffer skill/stat points. However, EVE does provide players with the ability to insure their ships, and create 'clones' of their current skill sets so that in the event death occurs, little is lost. Nice, eh? This is an example where the developers of the game have clearly said "Yes, death should have a penalty", but they have also said "But... We should give players a chance to hold onto their goods, even if death does come their way." In many ways this approach appeals directly to more casual players who would be incredibly turned off by losing it all, simply because they were killed. This has special meaning because it is fairly easy to die in Eve. More on this later.

Development Opportunities

It may sound strange that in death there would be opportunities for additional game play and experiences, but it's true. A player being killed in a MMORPG does not need to be a completely painful experience. In a more old school RPG, Ultima Online, the creators made death a bit more interesting. Instead of just making it so that players would resume where they left off upon returning to the land of the living, they made it required for the departed to locate someone who could resurrect them individually. While this adds additional game play time to death, it also adds in new elements of the game play that players are forced to deal with - interacting with other players, and working together. There are numerous other approaches to death. What if the return trip from the underworld spawned additional quests that were only active to those who had perished? What if death actually was a part of the game in that there were unique skills and items to gain once you've perished? Since death is such a normalized part of most games, why not make it something that is truly designed? In many ways creating a crafted death experience for your users when they come to an unfortunate demise can also change how those players perceive death. Is it merely a consequence put in place to add time to their game play, or is it an experience that actually has some merit and adds to the game?

Implications of Death

Depending on how easy it is to die in your game, how easy it is for other players to kill one another, what happens when a player does die, how they recover their character from it, how they retrieve their items, and so on, all play a part in how death is perceived in your game. Ultimately, if you're like most developers you want your game's death system to have some bite, and for players to fear it for one reason or another, but you certainly don't want players to hate it so much that they leave your game over it. Because death is an inevitable part of most games (and most likely yours!) it's important to consider what your "death penalty" does to a player.

In most cases if a character is killed off for good as a result of dying, players will probably be incredibly upset and unsatisfied by those results unless this is readily expected from the beginning, and it's easy for players to recover what they may have lost. In most cases games that have "perma" death tend to be games where players don't get a chance (and aren't expected) to become heavily attached to their characters. Additionally, games where perma death occurs don't leave much room for player made history or development, especially if death is a frequent occurrence. Even the looming possibility of perm death, say after 100 disposable lives that players can come back from easily becomes a bit hard to digest. Unless you can find a way to work it into the game play and storyline flawlessly, it would be wise to keep your distance from such an approach.

Like EVE, Guild Wars has a fairly balanced and reasonable approach to death. When players die, they don't "perma" die, but they are resurrected at a shrine closest to where they were killed. When players set out to continue their journey, they have a timed handicap that limits their health and mana. If the player dies before the handicap has expired, their new penalty simply adds onto the old one. While not creating permanent stat penalties, this can slow down game play and force you to be a bit more careful as your progress (at least until your stats are restored).

Probably the most important factor to consider when determining what the penalties for death are is to decide and figure out how frequent death occurs for the normal player. If, like in Eve, it is fairly easy to blow up your ship and everything inside of it, you probably want to make death something that is 1. reasonable and 2. something that players can mitigate on their own (like in eve through purchasing insurance plans that protect your assets). While making sure that every player in your game is "happy" with every aspect of your game should not be your primary concern, making sure that at least most of your players are satisfied with the consequences for such a big system (like death) is incredibly important in retaining the people who play your game.

Play Free Online Games

Play free online games on the internet when you are bored or are in need for some quick entertainment. There are many websites available, but some offer nothing new, only the same old games you can find on other websites.

Others, though, have excellent flash games. More and more people are playing games online, whether it is at work or at home. The days of playing solitaire at work might almost be over.

The most appealing aspect about the online websites is that it is free. You do need a computer and a quick internet connection to load the game and you need Macromedia flash. Sometimes you can download the games and play them off line.

The most played games are racing games, like bike racing and puzzle solving games where you have use your brains to solve the problem.

These games are very addicting and time flies by quickly. Online games are so popular even Google is tapping in to the user base, by offering developers to integrate ads in the games. When an ad is clicked Google pays the owner of the game on a cost per click basis.

This will help the online gaming community tremendously, because more people are going to develop small games which they can get paid for on a recurring basis. And do you know what that means for game players like you and me? More quality games will show up.

Don't get me wrong, simple games can be fun and entertaining, but a web based game developed by a team might be more polished and refined, garnering a bigger fan base to support sequels.

In the mean time enjoy the playing games from literally millions of online gaming websites, which you can find them by using your favorite search engine. So keep on playing!

Computer Games is Fun and Easy

There's no doubt, that computer games are here to stay. They have to be one of the most prevalent forms of software around. You can find them on PC's, Macs, cellphones, pdas, and BlackBerrys. They even have their own genre of hardware. Specifically for gaming. There are living room styled consoles like Xbox, Wii's, and PS3s. As well as a horde of portable gaming platforms, like the PSP, GameBoy, and DS. I can't think of any other software that warrants it's own hardware platform. We sure do like to play don't we?

It's a basic human need - for some even an obsession. Play time is a stress reliever, a much needed distraction, and arguably a self esteem builder for the winners. But another basic need that computer games can feed, is that of creation. Everyone loves to create. Whether it's a five year olds finger painting hanging on the fridge, or Stephen Kings next great horror epic. Anyone with an emotion to express, story to tell, or movie to capture can do their thing.

I must confess to be a wanna-be game developer from way back. I first tinkered around with building games on a Commodore 64. And if I really want to date myself, I'll confess to writing a very basic random number generator type game in Basic on a Radio Shack TRS-80 computer. Fortunately for the inspired gamers of today, the technology supporting game building has improved by several light years since then. From the simple to use yet powerful GameMaker from YoYo Games to the Unreal Editor (UnrealEd) that ships with the purchase of most games powered by the Unreal engine. This enables anyone who owns the game to create their very own version of the game using the same tools as the professionals.

It's a beautiful world to live in, if you've got the itch to build games. Not only are the tools available, but the information on how to use them is freely given and discussed in forums all over the internet. A google of the term "game developer forums", shows 194 million results. WOW! I'm sure they're not all totally relevant, but as I puruse the top few entries, I see a few places where I've spent lots of time. Including, but not limited to GameDev, and IndieGamer forums. The latter being an offshoot of the independent gamers forum started by Steve Pavlina on his old Dexterity website, back when he was a legend in the world of independent gamers.

While the tools mentioned above work great for building and designing games, there is plenty of opportunity for other skilled artists to create for the gaming world. Digital artists are every bit if not more a part of game creations than programmers and designers. It's the visual styling of a game that often sets it apart from the competition, and garners kudos from critics and fans alike. Musicians and sound effects artisans can have fun helping to build games these days. While music and sound effects can often be rather forgettable in games, (especially some of the derivative casual games clones), the really good ones auditory aficionados can really add a whole dimension to the gaming experience. Games like System Shock 2 (Irrational Studios), and the more recent Bioshock (2KGames) come to mind as benefited from some incredibly talented sounds and music.

So, don't put it off any longer. If you've got the game builder itch, it's time to scratch. You could be the next Leonardo Da Vinci of the game business. The world is waiting. If you enjoyed this article on how to make computer games, don't miss out on the latest news on making computer games as it happens.

Alice Greenfingers 2 - Farming Basics With Fun! - Big Fish Games, Inc.

Alice, welcome back! Surely, all of you remember this industrious girl whose farm was the first in the series of successful farming strategy games. Now the second part of the hit is out, and you have a wonderful chance to remember your first farming experience in casual gaming. A shovel, a patch of land and a bag of seeds - that's all you need to succeed. Want any prove? Ask Alice!

I'm sure you remember the hard-working Alice Greenfingers, her uncle Berry and their faithful friend Paul, the shopkeeper. In the second part of the game you will meet all the heroes again, and in familiar environment - on a farm. Alice will work in order to earn money and fulfill all the tasks of uncle Berry, who is rather demanding, I should say. Paul will sell all the necessary supplies and equipment, and you will have fun while playing. Nothing much can be said on the game story, as there is essentially no story at all. Just the regular farm life continues.

Concerning the game play I can say it's mainly the same as in the first game. For each day you have a number of goals (the tasks given by uncle Berry) to complete. Fortunately, you are not bound with any time limit, so you can take your time and develop your farm as you wish without any fear of failing. It's impossible to fail here. So, for each day you have a mission, and for completing it, as well as some other tasks, you get a badge or a cup - some food for your vanity. The challenges are rather different, starting from removing harmful dandelions and picking apples to growing a certain number of certain plants, selling them, earning a certain amount of money for uncle (or yes, he sometimes needs a new hat or something else not less expensive) or even exercising Jefferson, the family dog, so that he lost some weight. You are the only one who determines what you will do next, as long as you fulfill the tasks.

As in the first part, you dig soil, sow seeds, water plants as you grow, fertilize the soil, harvest your products and take them to the market, where customers are happy to buy them. You are free to purchase hens, beehives or other animals for your farm. They don't need much of your attention, but bring you additional money as you sell their produce. The same function is performed by trees - you can always gather a number of apples or plums (if you buy a plum tree) for extra cash. Cash is needed for upgrades and some necessary supplies to get from Paul's shop.

Besides, after each level you are offered to select a free upgrade among a number of options. You can get new goods unlocked in the shop, or a cash bonus, or extra space for your farm, or even advertising in a local newspaper for attracting more customers to the market. All of those are useful, and you take whatever you wish.

So, if you are in for farming strategy games, Alice Greenfingers 2 is the right choice!

Hidden Mysteries - Buckingham Palace - Big Fish Games, Inc.

Have you ever been to the Buckingham Palace? It's a perfect way to start the tour! What do you know about Buckingham Palace? That it's situated in London and is the residence of the British royal family? That it's a beautiful and majestic building? Anything else?

This game will bring you to the very heart of British monarchy and history, tell you the story of one of the greatest constructions in the United Kingdom and take you to an excursion along its halls and corridors, to the very secret passages and the kitchen - the centre of any home. You will learn that Buckingham Palace was built in 1703 by the Duke of Buckingham John Sheffield and in 1761 it was chosen by King George III to be his family's residence and much, much more. You will visit the Queen's Gallery, the Victoria Memorial and the Admirality Arch and know the history of the Crown Jewels. And, of course, you will enjoy your favorite puzzle game play while revealing the old mysteries hidden all over the place.

As to the game play, it's the combination of hidden object, quest and puzzle. You are offered to find a number of items hidden on the screen first. If you are stuck, you can use your hint credits which can be replenished by way of finding hidden crown in every stage. Each crown is worth 5 hint credits, and hints' price differs depending of what you want to see. In order to get a hint you should click on the name of the item you can't find. You will be given three options: to see the silhouette (1 hint credit), the whole look of the item (3 credits) or to be shown the very location of the item on the screen (5 credits). Depending on how exactly stuck you are, you can choose any. I would recommend to start with silhouettes, as they can be very helpful (unless it's a simple rectangle).

After you have found all the items in a stage (which means several locations), you will encounter a puzzle to be solved with the help of special items in your inventory, found during the level.

Tip: if you don't know what to do, see carefully where your cursor changes its color - that's the spot where you should act.

You will also face some word and other types of puzzles. I found some of them quite confusing, but in case you are not in brain-teasers of unknown principle, you have a nice remedy for the problem - a Solve button.

On the whole the game is very engaging, and you get really addicted as the story unwraps around you and you start finding the legendary stones one by one. You can venture into your tour over the Buckingham Palace in either Timed or Relaxed Mode - as you wish.

Keep Ur Computer Working Longer : tips

Technology is constantly improving, and new computers are getting faster and faster every day. This doesn't meant that you need to buy a new computer. If your current computer is working as well as it can, then there is no reason why you need to buy a new computer.

The problem is that regular computer usage will cause your computer to slow down if you do not maintain it properly. Below you will find the three most common things that you can do to ensure that your computer is running as well as it can for as long as possible. Make sure that you avoid computer clutter- Regularly using your computer means you will often be using new software. The problem is that most people do not delete old software as they get new software. Software clutter can slow down your computer. If you are no longer using software, you should delete this software from your computer.
Make sure that you avoid viruses or spyware- There are many evil people that try and fill your computer with viruses or spyware. Viruses are generally designed to ruin your computer. Spyware can be designed to hijack your computer for remote usage or to steal your personal information. You need to ensure that you regularly keep your antivirus software or antispyware software up to date to ensure that your computer is running as well as it possibly can.
Make sure that your Windows Registry is regularly scanned and cleaned- The Windows Registry stores data that ensures all your installed software and hardware runs as it should. However, if you delete files, sometimes you will find small packets of data are still kept in the Registry unnecessarily. A Windows Registry cleaner can ensure that any unnecessary data is removed. This means that you should be able to speed up your computer and avoid errors such as 'the blue screen of death.'

Just because there are a new range of faster computers available in the shops, doesn't mean that you need to buy a new computer. With regular maintenance, you should be able to keep your current computer running for much longer than you originally thought.
If your computer is running slowly, takes an age to boot up, or you experience unexpected system errors on a frequent basis, you might want to clean the windows registry.

Starting in Windows in Safe Mode

With the Windows operating system, you have the option to boot or start your system in safe mode so that you can troubleshoot and make repairs by loading the minimum drivers for your current configuration. Safe mode will allow you to correct common system boot problems. Safe mode will even allow you to remove a Virus, a Trojan, worm, or Malware since most do not start well in safe mode.

After booting in safe mode, you will notice that your screen appearance will be very basic as safe mode only loads the standard VGA driver. The loaded drivers for your computer devices while in safe mode will be: your computer mouse, a standard keyboard driver, and the standard VGA driver. This will allow the Windows system to operate in a limited environment so that you can repair the damaged portion of your operating system.

Safe mode is accessed from the advanced boot options menu which we will discuss how to access after we review the different boot options that pertain to safe mode. There are three safe mode options among other options that will be discussed in another article. In Windows XP, there is safe mode, safe mode with networking, and safe mode with command prompt. Each of these options has different uses for troubleshooting and repairing your computer system. The two most commonly used options from the advanced boot options menu are safe mode and safe mode with networking.

The advanced menu option, safe mode with network support loads the normal safe mode drivers and includes basic network drivers. This will allow you to connect to other resources on your local network or access the Internet. The last option which is safe mode with command prompt is used when your system will not start so that you may access system files and the registry. This mode will allow you to use command line switches to repair your system.

There are two methods for booting into safe mode.
The first method is the F8 method. After you have started or restarted your computer system it will automatically run a quick test of your system and begin to run Windows. On most systems, after the test begins you will see your hardware information listed while the test is running. Once this process is completed, the screen will change and then display the Windows logo with the starting Windows message. To start in safe mode immediately after the test is completed you will want to gently and repeatedly tap the F8 key and your system will list the advanced boot options menu where you can choose the safe mode option you would like.

The second method for booting into safe mode can be started while Windows is running normally by using the system configuration utility. This may seem easier for some as you don't have to monitor the boot up process for the correct timing to launch the advanced boot options menu. You simply press the start button on your desktop and select the Run command. Once the dialog box is open for the Run command simply type "msconfig" and click the OK button. Once the system configuration utility is running select the "boot.ini" tab and select the check box labeled "/SAFEBOOT" and press the OK button. Once the OK button has been pressed, you will be given a pop up box that will give you the option to restart your system.

Press the restart button and your system will automatically boot into safe mode. After you have finished your safe mode session you will want uncheck the box labeled "/SAFEBOOT" discussed earlier by following the same procedure above to access the system configuration utility so that your system will reboot normally.

Fix Blue Screen of Death : HOW

It's probably the most frustrating PC error of all. The blue screen that pops up at the worst times (often when you haven't yet saved the project you're working on). Windows spits out some error that only an expert could understand, and you're left scratching your head wondering "what the heck is going on with my Computer".

Hopefully after reading this article I'll have shed a little light on this for you. I'm going to give you three steps you can do to help diagnose and repair the windows blue screen error. All of these are tasks you can complete on your own prior to taking your computer to a repair shop.

One thing I do suggest is that before you start any of these suggestions you ensure you have a Windows restore point set (search Windows help if you're not sure what a restore point is), and you also have any important personal data, files, and software backed up.

Step 1: Run a Registry Scanner to Search for Errors

Most computer users do not know what the Windows registry file structure is. When in fact it is the central nervous system of your entire PC. This group of files stores information about users, hardware, and every software program that is or has been installed on your PC.

If there is an error or piece of missing data in the registry files for a particular program it can cause serious errors in Windows. Running a registry cleaner on your machine is an automated way to search for abnormal entries in the registry, and then repair, remove or add information if needed.

You can download a tool to do this from Regcure a well recognized registry cleaner on the market. See the end of this article for a link to learn more about Regcure.

Step 2: Run Virus and Adware Scanners

Most often a virus or piece of Spyware won't cause the blue screen to happen, but it can. So it's important that you run your virus and spyware scanner software in a full detailed scan to check for items.

If you don't have a virus scanner or Adware scanner you can grab free versions of AVG anti virus, as well as Adaware by Lavasoft. Both of these products offer fully functional free versions to run complete scans on your PC.

This may take a couple of hours depending on how many files you have, how large your hard drive is etc.

Step 3: Removing and Re-installing Software

When the blue screen appears it's possible that it could be while your using the exact same program or group of programs. Take note if for instance it's always happening when your using Internet Explorer, or maybe a word processor.

Sometimes files can become corrupt with individual programs and it's not an over all PC issue. The easy way to resolve this is to remove the program and re-install it. You can accomplish this by using the Add/Remove programs area of your Control Panel, and then re-installing the program.

NOTE: Before you remove any program be sure you have a backup copy of that program either on CD/DVD etc. Also ensure that all the files you've created with this program, or personal preferences are backed up to ensure you don't lose important files etc. When you remove the program.

What if none of that works?

There of course is a chance that none of this will improve the performance of your computer and you'll still be getting the blue screen error. If this is the case then you have two options.

First, you can restore your entire PC. This can usually be accomplished with a restore DVD from your computer manufacturer or formating your Hard Drive and installing Windows again. Remember again to backup important files and data before doing this because everything will be lost if you go this route.

The second alternative is to bring your Computer into a repair shop and let them have a go at removing the blue screen error. This will cost a few bucks but if you're not big on do it yourself, this may be the best option.

Adobe Photoshop - Still the Famous Photo Editing Software

Photoshop has been known as a business mainstream for graphics specialists. It may be difficult to learn it in your first try, but with continuous study, you will find it easier to use. It can do wonders to your images than you can think possible.

If you are a beginner, it may be best to enroll first in course classes at your own local district academy to study the fundamentals of the software. These essential modifications are included in each preliminary Photoshop session. Self-studying later on may be much easier once you learn the basics from these classes.

In 1987, Thomas Knoll, a PhD apprentice at the University of Michigan, started writing a composition on his Macintosh Plus to present grayscale descriptions on a colorless representation. This program, named Display, interested his sibling John Knoll, who was an Industrial Light and Magic staff, who suggested Thomas to turn Display into a complete image-organizing program.

Thomas took a six-month vacation from his studies in 1988 to work in partnership with his brother on the program. They called their first software ImagePro. Later on Thomas renamed it to Photoshop and devised a temporary agreement with Barneyscan, a scanner manufacturer, to supply copies of the program with a slide scanner.

For a period of time, John took a trip to Silicon Valley and presented an exhibition of the program to the engineers at Apple Computer Inc. and Russell Brown, art director at Adobe. Both presentations were victorious.

Adobe won the bid and bought the program in September 1988. While John performed on plug-ins in California, Thomas continued writing program system in Ann Arbor. Photoshop 1.0 was released in public in 1990 entirely for Macintosh.

Photoshop was continually modified to perform better and suit the needs of graphic editors. It was in November 1992 when a Microsoft Windows port of version 2.0 became available, and a year afterwards, it was ported to the SGI IRIX and Sun Solaris stage.

It was in September 1994 when version 3.0 became available worldwide, which presented tabbed palettes and layers. In February 2003, Photoshop distributed with the Camera RAW 1.x plug-in, allowing users to import RAW configurations from unusual digital cameras exactly into Photoshop.

In October 2004, the program was called Adobe Photoshop CS. The name makes use of the acronym CS for products in Adobe Creative Suite. The logo was a feather portrayed in shades of blue and green, which was also used in 9.0.

The 10th edition, Photoshop CS3 became available in the market on April 16, 2007, with a blue symbol formed after periodic table elements, together with the new representation of other Creative Suite products.

In January 2008, the Wine project proclaimed authorized assistance for Photoshop CS2, permitting the Windows edition of Photoshop CS2 to be used on Linux and other UNIX program.

Photoshop has durable links with other Adobe software for media editing, computer graphics, and authoring. Documentations in Photoshop's indigenous layout, .PSD, can be exported to and from Adobe Image Ready, Adobe Illustrator, standard DVDs and offer non-linear editing and unique sound effects services such as backdrops and textures, for television, film, and the Web.

The software revolves around editing pixels. Photoshop facilitates by controlling every distinctive pixel. Pixels are operated according to any tool that is being used.

Photoshop the last versions:
1. Photoshop CS3
2. Photoshop CS3 Extended
3. Photoshop Elements 6.0 for Macintosh
4. Photoshop Elements 6.0 for Windows
5. Photoshop Elements 6.0 & Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0
6. Photoshop Express beta
7. Photoshop Light room 2

Search the Internet | HOW

Today, millions of people are currently using or wanting to use the internet to such for something. Typically, if you ask someone about a particular subject that they don't know, or if you ask them about where to find such information, you may hear them tell you to "Google it".

This is jargon for doing a simple search based on your topic by typing it into the database of the largest search engine in the world. The results that display on your screen is generally your first indications of where you might find what you are looking for.

Google is an example of a Search Engine, which is a large database consisting of several computers which run through vast amounts of data to return to you, the user, whatever it is you are looking for. How does it know what you are looking for? Well, it doesn't. That's where you come in.

You must type in specific words and phrases to give these computers a better idea of what to return back to you in its results over the internet. This search engine database, and others like it, will give its best guess as to what you want. If you want to know how to search the internet, search engines are usually the first place to start because of their non-specific nature.

Subject Directories are another type of way one can use to search the internet. These are highly specialized and organized directories on a particular subject. These are created by experts in a particular subject field and are a great source for searching the internet. To find these, you could just type into a search engine the subject matter you are interested in followed by the word "directories" or "web directories". For example, you might enter: "biology web directories" to start your search off to find these subject directories.

Another way of how you could search the internet would be using what are called Meta-Search Engines. In a meta-search engine, you would enter your keywords in its search field and it will transmit your request to several search engines and web pages at the same time. They will parse results for you from all of the search engines and web pages it requested information from, according to your keywords.

These meta-search engines do not own the database web pages but rather send the request to databases owned and maintained by other search engine companies. Surfwax.com is an example of one of the better of these meta-search engines. It uses a group of some of the better search engines available to get results from.

SpeeD Up a sLow CoMPuteR, SaFely - Is iT ?

There are two ways to attempt to speed up slow computers; those that are certain, and those that are uncertain - and in some cases, risky.

Many solutions touted on the Internet fall into the uncertain/risky and even deceptive category, at least from my personal experience. For this article, the focus will be registry fixes. With many of them being promoted, I decided to try four of them - for FREE, as the advertisements go. I will not mention their names and give them added publicity. They are the same ones that show up regularly in search engine queries. My reasons were to test them and research the viability of potentially marketing one or more of these products myself. I was curious because I advise IT staffs at Fortune 500 companies on industry best practices to speed up slow computer systems, and when I am not working my day job, I too market solutions on the Internet. I want to stay on the cutting-edge of technology. But I also want to be sure my recommended solutions work before I put my name to them.

The four registry fixes I happened upon were all downloadable for free. They all scanned my system for free. Well, three of four completed their scans. The fourth actually shut down my computer mid-scan. I rebooted, and removed it. Enough said there. The other three found errors ranging from 500-1900, but no two found the same number. Two of three generously offered to remove a small number of errors for free (less than 20), which I graciously accepted. All three offered me the option of purchasing the full license that would fix all remaining errors, but only one showed me the cost ($37) without requiring me to first give up my email. I did not order any of them. Instead, I waited to see what these programs installed on my computer would do next. See, when you agree to a free scan, you are also agreeing to download and install.

One of the programs had installed itself to my Windows startup log and actually slowed down my computer during boot. Upon boot completion, I had to close a pop-up window, every time I started my PC. That was annoying enough for me to remove that program. It was not offering to repair any more supposed problems. It just served as a daily ad for me to buy their product. I think if I had, it would have continued to boot on start up, slowing me down, and popping up daily to run a scam, I mean scan... I think. But who needs a daily registry scan if the problems were repaired at last startup?

With two programs left on my hard drive, I later found that one of them had installed with a weekly scheduler activated. The first time it happened I was taken by surprise. It scanned my system like the first time, found hundreds of errors again, fixed none this time, and offered me my second opportunity to buy the full license. I declined, and closed the window. Now, I do understand these companies need to charge for these products. I just want to make sure when I open my wallet that I am actually getting something of value. The next time it activated, it scanned for only a few minutes before shutting down my PC. Remind me before I finish this article to nuke that one as well.

While I cannot attest to whether or not any of these programs would have actually repaired the registry errors they identified (assuming they were legitimate errors in the first place), I can say that my uncertainty is a certainty. And that goes for all software programs that claim to fix errors with code or system settings - especially when it comes to operating systems. While Microsoft has been well-publicized for its mistakes over the years, they still invest a lot more in R&D than all registry cleaner manufacturers combined (regardless of what MAC commercials would like you to believe; but what great entertainment!). And, for that reason, it is one industry best practice to avoid the unknown. I know a lot of IT managers who regularly re-install operating systems on PCs because rogue users download programs they thought would speed up their slow computers only to end up with more issues than before.

If You Get Ur CoMpuTer sLoW

A slow running computer has got to be the most frustrating thing to be up against in our era of lightning-speed communications. A slow computer makes it seems like you are riding a mule on a cross country trip when you should be flying a jet.

Waiting 10 minutes for a Web page to load up in this day and age just doesn't seem logical. Still, it happens. In my line of business I see some incredibly slow computers. Some of them are almost brand new! Some of them aren't exactly new but still, should something that is considered space-age and has a chip that's rated for 1.6 gigahertz be crawling? I don't think so.

So, what can we do about it? How can we get the hare back into that Pentium IV tortoise? This article will explain how a perfectly good, relatively new computer can lose all its speed and what we can do to get it back.

Spyware, Anyone?

The first thing we have to do to get our slow running computer back up to speed is give it a good spyware scan. Most people I know already have a spyware cleaner installed on their computers. A spyware cleaner would be some kind of spyware/malware/adware cleaning program that you have installed on your computer or came on the computer when it was new.

Sometimes a computer will have a virus scanner installed on it and this is OK. Somewhere along the line anti-virus software and spyware cleaners sort of stole each other's job. Any good virus cleaner will take care of any spyware your computer may have and any good spyware cleaner will get rid of the viruses The key word here is malware. Viruses, spyware, adware, trojans, keyloggers and any other stuff like this are really malware, or to be more specific; malicious-software.

All this means that the first step in getting your computer's speed back is making sure you have no viruses or malicious software. How do you do this? Scan your computer with a good virus and or spyware cleaner. Don't have one? Well in that case, you better get one quickly.

Unfortunately, you may not be able to install a new spyware cleaner on a computer that is hardly running. So, if this is the case, you may have to bring your computer to a repair shop and have it scanned from another source.

Spyware Free?

Once you are quite certain you don't have any spyware or viruses or any of that kind of stuff on your computer, the next step is to get your registry cleaned on-line. Again, if your computer is operating so poorly it will crash before you could get on-line and download anything, you may be out of luck. You may have to bring your computer to the shop.

If however your computer is operating, albeit slowly, simply go to the website of a top rated registry cleaner and get a free scan. Yes, all the good registry cleaners I know of will give you a free scan so you can see if registry corruption is your problem.

If you do have corruption in your registry, you will have to purchase the registry cleaner's license so you can let this program repair your registry. Don't worry, registry cleaners are dirt cheap when you consider the great service they perform, like making your computer fast again.

I can't tell you how many computers I seen transformed from crawlers into flyers after they got their registries cleaned! Even better news is the fact best new registry cleaners optimize the registry as well. Optimization will make your computer even faster. I've seen this happen many times. It is very impressive! So, there is my advice. Get and keep your computer's registry cleaned and probably, speed will no longer be an issue!
